Chisar element

The chisar (χισάρ) element has its basis and theoretical position on chouseini [A]. Like choumagioun, it is a reentrant element, meaning its basis lies at the center of the element, rather than at its lower degree. Chisar takes its name from its use of the nim chisar position [G#]. In staff notation, a theoretical intervallic structure of 13·5·5·12 commas is defined, classifying chisar as a hard chromatic element.

The adaptation of chisar to equal temperament is referred to as the equal-tempered chisar element (or chisar*) and occurs as illustrated in the following figure.
